GALLUP — Services for Dionicio F. De La
Torre, 92, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Sacred Heart Cathedral
Church. The Rev. Lawrence J. O’Keefe will officiate. Burial
will be in Sunset Memorial Cemetery. A rosary will be recited
7 p.m., tonight, Aug. 4, at the Rollie Mortuary.
De La Torre died July 31, 2008, in Gallup. He
was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Gallup.
De La Torre attended school up to the 4th grade.
He worked with the Federal BIA.
Survivors include his wife, Jennie G. De La
Torre; sons, Charles De La Torre of Gallup, Michael De La Torre
of Norwalk; daughters, Gloria Rubio, Mercy Griego, Jennie Chavez,
of Gallup, Geraldine Hernandez of Utah, Mary Maldonado of Whittler;
brother, Frank De La Torre of Gallup; sister, Greggie De La Torre
of Phoenix; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren.
De La Torre was preceded in death by his parents,
Guadalupe De La Torre, Luis De La Torre; Raymond De La Torre;
Mercedes D. Sedillos.
Pallbearers will be Vidal De La Torre, Arturo
De La Torre, Donavon Chavez, Dominic Maldonado, Leon Chavez, Matthew
De La Torre.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at the KC Hall, Gallup, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
