Jerry Baca
GRANTS Funeral
Mass for Jerry Baca Jr., 82, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 9,
St. Teresa of Avella Catholic Church. Burial will be Thursday,
at Grants Memorial Park. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight,
Sept. 8, at St. Teresa of Avella Catholic Church.
Baca died Sept. 6, 2008,
in Grants. He was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Grants.
Baca was retired from
the U.S. Postal System as Postal Supervisor. He was a veteran
of the U.S. Armed Services.
Survivors include his
wife, Lola Chavez Baca of Grants; son, Juan D. Baca of Ridgecrest,
Calif.; daughters, Barbara Creggar of Grants, Judy Baca of Las
Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Eloisa Baca of Albuquerque, Lydia Vigil
of Victorville, Calif.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren;
one great-great-grandchild.
Baca was preceded in death
by his parents, Jeronimo Baca, Elviria Baca; sons, Richard Baca,
Leroy Baca; brothers, Gabe Baca, Felix Baca, Henry Baca.
Pallbearers will be Christopher Cregger, Cory Creggar, Joseph
Baca, Jacob Baca, Joey Baca, Eddie Trujillo.

Timothy Billy
MANUELITO Funeral
services for Timothy Kenneth Billy, 38, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday,
Sept. 9, at Rollie Mortuary. The Rev. Andrew Begay will officiate.
Burial will be in family land, Manuelito.
Billy died Sept. 3, 2008,
in Gallup. He was born May 6, 1970, in Gallup, into the Towering
House People Clan for the Bitter Water People Clan.
Billy was self employed
and was a home builder and an artist. Billy worked all over in
Arizona, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. He was an avid Dallas
Cowboys fan.
Survivors include his
son, Nathaniel Billy of Sanders; daughters, Patricia Billy of
Tse Bonito, Leticia Billy of Tse Bonito, Shantell Billy of Sanders;
father, Kenneth Billy of Manuelito; brothers, Ronald Chee of Costa
Vista, Calif., Daniel Bill of Manuelito, Kevin Billy of Manuelito,
Darrick Billy of Manuelito; sisters, Darlene Adakai of Manuelito,
Debra Billy of Manuelito, Lethia Bickel of Manuelito, Esther Jean
Billy of Belen.
Billy was preceded in
death by his mother, Betty Rose Billy; brother, Darrell K. Billy.
Pallbearers will be Reggie
Joe, Reggie Mitchell, Daniel Billy Jr., Troy Billy, Preston Adakai,
Tilford Brown, Nelbert Joe.
The family will receive
relatives and friends at Manuelito Chapter House.

are pending for Dwayne Chavez, 34.
Chavez died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2008, in Phoenix. He was born Feb.
21, 1974, in Albuquerque.

Sept. 8, at Compassion Mortuary.
Pena died Sept. 4, 2008,
in Grants. He was born Aug. 21, 1970, in Springerville.
Survivors include his
wife, Cecelia CeCe Pena of Grants; children, Vincent
Chente Pena, Paul Pena, Rebecca Pena, Mattew Chacon,
Michael Paul Chacon, Eli Garcia, all of Grants; sisters, Janice
Trujillo of Grants, Barbara Pena-Carter of Jonesborough, Tenn.,
Vikki Ulibarri of Sparks, Nev.; brother, Billy Pena of Grants;
grandmother, Martha Chavez of Albuquerque.
Pena was preceded in death
by his parents, Edward Pena, Isidorita Chavez Pena.

Thigpen died Sept. 7,
2008, in Grants. She was born Oct. 22, 1924, in Aztec.
Survivors include her
husband, Wilber Thigpen of Grants; daughter, Cecilia Methvin of
Grants; two grandchildren.
Thigpen was preceded in
death by her parents, Angus Kennedy, Wilma Fisher Kennedy; brother,
John Kennedy; sister, Jean Mobley.

Methvin, Jim Ray, Jay Mobley, Scotty Thigpen, Brian Kennedy, Sean
Kennedy.
