Placido Valles

LAS CRUCES — Funeral services for Placido “Patcha” “Paul” Valles, 75, were Sept. 12, in Las Cruces.

Valles died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 2008, in Las Cruces. He was born Oct. 5, 1932, in Navajo, N.M.

Valles was born and was raised in Gallup. He graduated from Gallup High School, where he played football and basketball. He was served his country in the U.S. Navy. He retired as an insurance salesman, and he was a member of the University Golf Course and the Munson Senior Center. Valles was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his sons, Paul Felix Valles of Sherman Oaks, Calif., Rick Lino Valles of Phoenix; daughters, Valerie Valles, Victoria Hardesty, both of Simi Valley, Calif., Angie Zanders of Madison, Wis., Linda Fitzgerald of Lakeside, Ariz.; brothers, Mario Valles, Amador Valles, both of Los Angeles, Raymond Valles of Anaheim, Calif.; sisters, Marie Torres of Las Cruces, Nettie Gonzalez, Gregoria Ortiz, both of Los Angeles; 13 grandchildren.

Valles was preceded in death by his parents Lino and Rufina Salazar Valles; sister, Petra V. Glenn; brother, Joseph Valles.

Henry Watson

VANDERWAGEN — Services are pending for Henry Watson, 59.

Watson died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born April 2, 1949, in Fort Defiance, into the Towering House People Clan for the Meadow People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
