Cooking leads to DV arrest Copyright © 2008 FORT WINGATE Eric Keith Draven, 25, was arrested Sunday on one count of battery against a household member after a family spat that wounded his wife and himself. Dravens wife said she was making dinner when her hand slipped and she knocked the lid to a cooker toward her husband, who became upset, according to McKinley County Sheriffs Deputy Rocky Kleins report. Dravens wife said Draven then hit her twice in the face and pushed her, according to the report. Draven apparently nodded to confirm his wifes story but added that the couple had been arguing previously. Klein describes finding fingernail scratches on Dravens chin, neck and arms. Medical personnel were called to clean and bandage a laceration above Dravens wifes eyebrow. She is also described as having a bump on her forehead and bruising on her face. |
