GALLUP — “Uranium Development Impacts in the New West Economy” will be 6-8 p.m., Sept. 23, at the UNM-Gallup Campus, Gurley Hall Lecture room 1124. Dr. Thomas Power is the Montana economist who has done an alternative economic impacts study commissioned by NMELC on uranium mining and milling impacts.

Cause for Paws

ST. JOHNS — A Cause for the Paws, music for mutts and classy cats, featuring music of the Chainsaw Bears, will be 6-9 p.m., Sept. 27, at the Iggy’s in St. Johns. Cost: $25 with dinner, $10 without. All proceeds go to: the Blackhat Humane Society. Tickets on sale now.
