GALLUP Uranium Development
Impacts in the New West Economy will be 6-8 p.m., Sept.
23, at the UNM-Gallup Campus, Gurley Hall Lecture room 1124. Dr.
Thomas Power is the Montana economist who has done an alternative
economic impacts study commissioned by NMELC on uranium mining
and milling impacts.

GALLUP CARE 66 is seeking civic
organizations, churches, student groups and individuals interested
in volunteering from now to end of November. National Hunger
and Homelessness Awareness week, Nov. 16-22. If interested in
helping to educate Gallup community about homelessness and/or
conduct grassroots fundraisers to aid the work of CARE 66, please

GALLUP UNM-Gallup Intervarsity
Christian Fellowship has a schedule of activities for the fall

at the First United Methodist Church for large group fellowship

Cause
for Paws
ST. JOHNS A Cause for the Paws,
music for mutts and classy cats, featuring music of the Chainsaw
Bears, will be 6-9 p.m., Sept. 27, at the Iggys in St. Johns.
Cost: $25 with dinner, $10 without. All proceeds go to: the Blackhat
Humane Society. Tickets on sale now.
