Appreciation Day
GALLUP Law Enforcement appreciation day will be 10:30
a.m., Oct. 5, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church. Special speaker
will be Chaplin Bob Keller. To honor: Peace officers, City, County,
State, Federal Personnel, Support Staff behind the officers, elected
officials, those involved in the criminal justice system and court
system, correction officers, community service aids, dispatch
personnel. There will be a meal for all special guests and their
families following service.
Farmers Market
SHIPROCK Northern Navajo Fair, special Shiprock Farmers
Market will be 8 a.m.-8 p.m., Oct. 5, in the Ayani Nez Center
parking lot. Vendors-there will be a $5 space fee to Ayani Nez
Inc. We will be accepting the NM WIC Farmers Market checks
at this time too. Market hours have been extended for vendor/farmer
and customer convenience: 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., in the Shiprock Chapter
House parking lot.
St. Michaels Meeting
ST. MICHAELS St. Michaels Chapter planning meeting
will be 9 a.m., Oct. 5.
Hubbell Trading Post
GANADO Hubbell Trading Post National Historic Site will
begin its regular winter hours on Oct. 5. The park site will be
open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., each day. Will be closed for Thanksgiving,
Christmas Day, New years day. Questions call Hubbell Trading Post

St. Francis Fiesta
GALLUP The 800th Anniversary of St. Francis Rule, St.
Francis Fiesta, will be Oct. 5. Celebration will begin at 10 a.m.,
Mass, followed by Procession of St. Francis, blessing of the animals
at 12:15 p.m., crowing of Fiesta King and Queen. Performance by
Karate Champ Dylan Vargas, Matachines Dancers, Foundation of Freedom
Dancers, Chasing Wind Dancers. Enchilada dinner begins at 11 a.m.
Raffle at 4 p.m.
Planning Meeting
COYOTE CANYON Coyote Canyon Chapter planning meeting will
be 1 p.m., Oct. 5, and regular scheduled chapter meeting 1 p.m.,

Special Meeting
TOHATCHI Tohatchi special meeting will be 1 p.m. and potluck
at 12 p.m.,Oct. 6, at the Tohatchi Chapter.

House
GALLUP Habitat for Humanity of Gallup Open House at its
current home construction site, 416 E. Wilson, at the corner of
High Street and East Wilson,, from 5-7 p.m., Oct. 6. Info., tours
of the almost completed home and refreshments will be offered.

District Mtg.
SHIPROCK Central Consolidated School District No. 22 monthly
Indian Education Committee meeting will be Oct. 6. 5:30 p.m.,
Title VII-Indian Education; 6:30 p.m., Johnson OMalley,
in the CCSD Shiprock Board room. Discussion: 08-09
IEC Activities, regular Johnson OMalley and Title VII Indian
Education business.
Nazlini Meeting
NAZLINI The Nazlini regular planning meeting will be 1
p.m., Oct. 6, at the Nazlini Chapter House.
Monday Night Live
FORT DEFIANCE Monday Night Live with Pax Harvey Jr., will
be 6-9 p.m., Oct. 6, at the Judd Avey Memorial Field House. $2

Autumn Fest
GALLUP Sundance Iron Riders Motorcycle Club 9th Annual
Autumn Fest will be Oct. 5. Registration starts 9 a.m., at the
Chamber of Commerce parking lot (train station) on Route 66. $25
entry fee includes: Poker hand, long-sleeved t-shirt, meal and
drink, one open raffle ticket and entry to bike games. Many nice
raffle items.
St. Michael Mtg.
ST. MICHAELS St. Michael Head Start parent committee meeting
