GALLUP — U.S. Rep. Tom Udall, the Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate, will be in Gallup and Grants for brief meetings on Thursday.

Staff members said Udall will be at a “meet and greet” at the Gallup Cultural Center at 2 p.m. during which time he will give a short speech, shake some hands and answer a few questions.

He is only scheduled to be in Gallup for about an hour because he has to leave about 3 p.m. to make it to Grants, where he is scheduled to have a town meeting and early voting rally at the El Casecio, 820 E. Santa Fe Ave., beginning at 4 p.m.

That meeting and rally are expected to last about 45 minutes, after which Udall is scheduled to leave for Albuquerque.
