CIBOLA — The Cibola National Forest Supervisor’s Office is showing its thanks to those who have served in the armed forces by waiving all fees to the Cibola National Forest on Veterans Day. On Tuesday, the office will hold “Fee Free Day.”

The Cibola National Forest offers recreation opportunities throughout mountain ranges scattered east and south of Albuquerque and west to the state’s border with Arizona. In addition to any other fees, all overnight camping fees will also be waived at all campgrounds that are charging a fee within the forest boundaries.

The Cibola National Forest offers outdoor recreation opportunities including camping, picnicking, hiking, viewing wildlife, horseback riding, photography, fishing, hunting and backpacking.

Information: Mark Chavez at the Cibola National Forest Supervisor’s Office, (505) 346-3900.
