NASCHITTI Funeral Services are pending for Adrian Antonio,
26.
Antonio died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Naschitti. He was born
Sept. 18, 1982, in Gallup.
Desert View Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sadie Brown
GALLUP Funeral services for Sadie S. Brown, 59, will be
11 a.m., Monday, Nov. 10, at the family residence in Breadsprings,
Umbrella Canyon Road. A.J. Williams will officiate. Burial will
be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Brown died Nov. 5, 2008, in Gallup. She was born July 6, 1949,
in Breadsprings, into the Towering House People Clan for the Red
Running Into the Water People Clan.
Brown attended Albuquerque Indian School.
She was self-employed as a silversmith at Running Bear Jewelry.
Brown enjoyed reading the bible and attending church. She enjoyed
spending time with her children and grandchildren and singing
gospel music.
Survivors include her husband, Chester Manning; sons, Dean Brown
of Vanderwagon, Damon Brown of Gallup, Ronnie Brown of Crownpoint,
Lee Brown of McDermitt; daughters, Katherine Livingston of Red
Rock, Laverna Veliz of Gallup, Brenda Brown of Red Rock, Bernadine
Brown of Rio Rancho, Sherna Pete of Gallup; brother, Johnny D.
Smith of Breadsprings; sisters, Elsie Martinez of Gallup, Ella
Burbank, Irene Kinsel, both of Breadsprings, Mary Brown of Red
Rock, Edith Martinez of Prewitt; 22 grandchildren.
Brown was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alice Joe
Smith; sister, Marie Cayanito.
Pallbearers will be Anderson Brown, Albert J. Brown, Fredrick
Brown, Kristy Felter, Herman Smith, Bilson Kinsel.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Breadsprings
Chapter House, following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Sandra Kenny
MORIARTY Services for Sandra Dodge Kenny, 51, will be
10 a.m., Monday, Nov. 10, at Rollie Palm Chapel, Gallup. Burial
will be in Gallup City Cemetery.
Kenny died Nov. 6, 2008, in Moriarty. She was born Sept. 28,
1957, in Gallup, into the Sagebrush Hill People Clan for the Bitter
Water People Clan.
Kenny attended Wingate Elementary, JFK Mid and Placement school
in Utah. She helped those in need of care which led her to attain
her CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant) Certificate.
Survivors include her daughters, Shivonne Kenny, Marsha Kenny;
sister, Geraldine Thompson.
Kenny was preceded in death by her sister, Evelyn Florence; husband,
Milton Kenny; mother, Fannie Dodge; father, Mike Dodge; brothers,
Michael and Aaron Dodge.
Pallbearers will be Brian Thompson, Jerrick Hildreth, Henry Hildreth
Sr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Iyanbito Chapter
House, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Larry Sampson
GRANTS Services for Larry J. Sampson, 67, will be 11 a.m.,
Monday, Nov. 10, at Jesus Christ of Latter-days Saints Church,
Grants. Burial will be 2 p.m., Nov. 11, with full military honors
by the VFW Lodge 3221, in Grants Memorial Park. Bishop Walter
Grinner will officiate. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m., Nov. 10,
at the church.
Sampson died Nov. 5, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born July 19,
1941, in Delta, Utah.
Sampson was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in Vietnam.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Kay Sampson of Grants; children,
Susan Thornburh of Elko, Nev., Kami Kelly of Albuquerque, Leonard
Shelton of Edgewood, Sherri Shelton of Edgewood, Gary Brown of
Elko, Ronny Sampson of Oregon, Kathy Brown of Twin Falls, Idaho;
brothers, Fawn Karl Sampson of Delta, Utah, Garry Sampson of Lehi,
Utah, Robert Niel Sampson of Las Vegas, Nev.; sisters, Ila Webb
of Delta, Alice Hicks of Grants, Kay Waxler of Bluewatre; six
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Sampson was preceded in death by his parents, Fern McCullough
Sampson, Wesley Samspn.
Pallbearers will be Garry Brown, Tucker Griego, Karl Sampson.
