Herbert Tso

TWIN LAKES — Funeral services for Herbert Tso, 88, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Rollie Mortuary Chapel. Rev. Dennis Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery, Gallup.

Tso died Jan. 30, 2008, in Gallup. He was born Dec. 25, 1919 in Coyote Canyon into the Salt People Clan for the Tangle People Clan.

Tso was a professional bricklayer, railroad worker and ranch worker.

Survivors include his wife, Madeline Tso of Twin Lakes; sons, Amos Tso of Crownpoint, James Tso of Twin Lakes; daughters, Darlene Kenneth of Twin Lakes, Joan Nez of Twin Lakes, Geraldine Tso of Twin Lakes; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Tso was preceded in death by his daughter, Mildred Manuelito.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Manuelito Jr., Walter Manuelito, Myles Weaver, Virgil Tsosie Jr., Alex Begay, and David McLaughlin Sr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Twin Lakes Chapter, Twin Lakes, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Fen Bruce

SAN ANTONE SPRING, N.M. — Funeral services for Fen Bruce, 91, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 2. Ray Barker will officiate. Burial will be in Thoreau Community Cemetery.
Bruce was born Feb. 13, 1916, in Thoreau into the Two People Came Together People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Bruce was raised in San Antone Spring. He did ranching, worked for the railroad, was the reverendf for the Christian Reformed Church and was a livestock owner.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Bruce of Thoreau; son, Delbert Bruce of Thoreau; daughters, Shirley Emerson of Thoreau, Nancy Larry of Thoreau; 18 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Dion Emerson Sr., Jerry Emerson, Jeremiah Bruce, Jacob Bruce, Benjamin Larry Jr., Peter Enrico.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Bruce’s residence. Reception will be at Thoreau Chapter House, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.


Doran Youvella

KEAMS CANYON — Funeral services for Doran Thomas Youvella, 25, will be 10 a.m. Feb. 2, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, Polacca. President Eldon Povatah will officiate. Burial will be in the family plot, Sand Hills Ranch. Visitation will be at Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Church, one hour prior to services.

Youvella died Jan. 28, 2008, in Phoenix. He was born July 24, 1982, in Keams Canyon.

Youvella attended Keams Canyon Boarding School, K-6, Hopi Jr./Sr. High School, 8-12, and Mesa Community College.

Survivors include her sons, Jalen Thomas Youvella, D’Andre Lomakuyva Youvella, Isaiah Dayton Youvella; parents, Iris Donna Youvella, Wallace Youvella Sr.; brothers, Nolan Youvella, Wallace Youvella Jr.; Charlene Youvella Clark.

Youvella was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fannie Nampeyo Polacca, Vinton Polacca, Susie Youvella, Charles K. Youvella, Winnifred Mae Youvella.


Manuel Guerra Jr.

ALBUQUERQUE — Memorial services with Navy honors for Manuel E. Guerra Jr., 77, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, 1100 Coal Ave. SE, Albuquerque.

Guerra died Jan. 25, 2008, in Albuquerque. He was born March 10, 1930.

Guerra was a Navy recruiter around the Gallup area. His military career began in April of 1948. He served for 38 years in the U.S. Navy in intelligence, public affairs and Political Military Strategy. He was a Life Member of VFW Post 1313, member of the Fleet Reserve Association (FRA) Branch 200, National Association for Uniformed Services, member of the USS Joseph Strauss Association, and a Life Member of the USS Ranger Association. He worked for Waddell and Reed Financial Group for 23 years. He had a great sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Violet “Vi” (Wallace) Guerra of Albuquerque; daughter, Kathy Guerra of Albuquerque; brother, David E. Guerra of Palm Springs.

Guerra was preceded in death by his son, David E. Guerra.

Frances Ramirez Sandoval

ALBUQUERQUE — Services are pending for Frances Ramirez Sandoval, 47.

Sandoval died Jan. 30, 2008, in Albuquerque. She was born Nov. 3, 1960, in Gallup.

Sandoval graduated from Gallup High School.


Correction
In Wednesday’s Margaret Craig obituary, she was survived by brother, Leroy Sinderson of Kearney, Mo.

Pallbearers were Buddy Jeffries Jr., Shane Jeffries, Michael Jeffries Jr., Isaac Roberts, Randy Jeffries Jr., and Doroteo Villa Jr.
