Sky City Casino offering a variety of Super Bowl specials

Super Bowl on Sunday, Sky City Hotel Casino is now offering the world famous Nathan’s hot dogs in it’s Club 102, the first Native American casino to offer the all beef hot dogs.

Food and Beverage Director John Dill said the process of getting the hot dogs in place to be available to the public in time for the big game has taken three months.

Nathan’s has a real history, and an entire culture, and when deciding to do something different, it came naturally, he said.

Nathan’s hot dogs are the ones that became famous while being sold at Coney Island starting in 1916.

The annual July 4th hot dog eating contest is always supplied by Nathan’s. It is considered the world’s most famous hot dog eating contest by those in the competitive eating arena, and in 2006, more than 30,000 spectators attended the event. ESPN also carries the event live.

On Sunday, the hot dogs, which will normally sell for $1.88, including tax, will be available at $1 each, he said.

Toppings available will be the standard mustard and ketchup, and mayonnaise, including beef chili with no beans, sauerkraut, cheese, onions and relish.

Foot-long hot dogs are also available and Club 102 will also feature kielbasa and Polish dogs.

A nearly half-pound Chicago Italian shaved beef sandwich, on a 7 inch hoagie roll will also be available.

“The hot relish on the Italian beef sandwich is what makes it special,” Dill said. He said the special relish is made by a Greek company in Chicago and is the best hot pickle relish on the market.

Joining patrons in Club 102 on Sunday for the game are former professional football players Everson Walls, a cornerback, who played with the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and the Cleveland Browns; and Ickey Woods, a former running back with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Both will be available for autographs from 3-4 p.m. And from 9-10 p.m.
