Fire ravages Gallup home By Leslie Wood GALLUP A fire caused significant damage to a residence at the 100 Block of Old Zuni Drive-In Road Tuesday night. Gallup Fire Chief Robert Soto said firefighters were called to the house at about 8:15 p.m. and found flames shooting from the roof and windows. The blaze was extinguished within minutes and firefighters removed a 20-pound propane tank from the vicinity to prevent further damage. The homes owners escaped without harm, Soto said. The investigation has been turned over to Navajo police, Soto said. |
