Metro dispatch director to be named By Bill Donovan GALLUP The Metro Board has selected a new director for its dispatch center, but who it is wont be announced until today. County spokesman Doug Decker said an offer has been made but not accepted yet, so the board has decided to wait a day before announcing who was selected. Four people are in the running for the position John Yearly, Bill Kellogg, Bill Nechero and Hilda Bowman. Decker did announce on Thursday who has been chosen as the countys new chief financial officer. County Manager Tom Trujillo selected Robert Campbell to replace Judy Kruklis, who resigned last summer because of health problems. Campbell was one of five people who had applied for the positions. The others were Liz Sanchez, Robert Sharpe, Helen Grenko and Gregoria Archuleta. A resident of Ramah, Campbell is a certified public accountant who has done a number of government audits over the years. Decker said Campbell and his family were living in the Ramah area because his wife had a job there and he wanted to pursue a career in this area so he could continue to be close to his family. |
