Nonabah Henry

NASCHITTI — Tradition Wake for Nonabah Henry, 86, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Naschitti Christian Reformed Church. Rev. Bobby Boyd will officiate. Burial will be in Community Cemetery Naschitti.

Henry died Jan. 6, 2008 in Gallup. She was born Oct. 17, 1921 in Naschitti into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Salt People Clan.

Henry enjoyed sewing and weaving. She also enjoyed going to church and talking about Jesus.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Sandra Henry of Gallup; grandsons, Ernie R. Henry, Roland Henry, both of Tohlakai; six great-grandchildren.

Henry was preceded in death by her mother, Alhiinaabaha; son, Ernest Henry; grandson, Ronald Henry; sister, Marcella Henry

Pallbearers will be Ernie R. Henry, Roland Henry, Victor Slivers Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Naschitti Chapter House, after services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Freddie Allison

WIDE RUINS — Funeral services for Freddie Allison, 49, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12 at the St. Anne’s Catholic Mission, Klagetoh. Burial will be in Community Cemetery, Wide Ruins. Visitation will be 9 a.m., one hour prior to services.

Allison died Jan. 7, 2008 in Wide Ruins. He was born March 13, 1958 in Ganado into the Tangle People Clan for the Red House People Clan.

He attended Wide Ruins Boarding School. He worked for the North Pacific Railroad. His hobbies included horseback riding, auto mechanic, basketball. He liked to help relatives and do landscaping and carpentry.

Survivors include his wife, Fannie Allison; sons, Fredlin Allison, Farren Ryan Allison; daughters, Felicia Ann Allison, Bernice Ann Allison, Fernica Ann Allison; brothers, Richard Allison, Ernest Allison; sisters, Bertha James, Rita Nelson, Marita Benally, Louise Manuelito, Marcella Jones, Lorinda Pete; grandparents, big shorty, Elizabeth Shorty; two grandchilren.

Allison was preceded in death by his parents, John Allison, Helen Allison; sister, Mary Tabaha; brother, David Allison.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Wide Ruins Chapter House, after services.

Harvey Jim

YAHTAHEY — Funeral services for Harvey Moroni Jim, 54, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Cope Memorial Chapel. Evangelist Andrew Pinto will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery, Gallup. Jim died Dec. 27, 2007 in Denver, Colo. He was born Oct. 21, 1953 in Grants into the Towering House People Clan.

Jim started school at Tse Bonito Public School, JF Kennedy Mid-School. He was in the army and he worked construction labored and travel in Utah, Idaho, New Mexico and Colorado.

Jim was preceded in death by his father, Glenn Jim; mother, Nellie M. Jim; grandmother, Ella McDonald.

Pallbearers will be family members.

Raymond Cleveland

CASAMERO LAKE — Services for Raymond “The Legend” Cleveland, 50, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11 at the Thoreau Church of God. Bishop Ray Barker will officiate. Burial will follow at Thoreau Community Cemetery.

Cleveland died Jan. 5, 2008, in Corona, N.M. He was born April 4, 1957 in Crownpoint.

Cleveland was employed as a truck driver and was the vice president of the Casamero Lake Chapter House at the time of this death.

Survivors include his son, Tegan Cleveland of Pinon; daughters, Tashina Hardy of Pinon, Lane Cleveland of Pinon, Dayla Cleveland of Winslow; mother, Nellie Cleveland of Grants; sisters, Carolyn Bingham of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Carlene Horton of Farmington; one grandson.

Cleveland was preceded in death by his father, Albert Cleveland; brother, Ron Cleveland.

Pallbearers will be Lane Cleveland, Joey Endito, Jan Yazzie, Archie Cleveland, Clifford Jarvison; Delbert Largo.


Ruth Sam

TOHATCHI — Services are pending for Ruth Dorothy Sam, 27.

Sam died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008 in Gallup. She was born August 21, 1980 in Gallup into the Towering House People Clan for the Mexican People Clan.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.


Casey Thomas

GALLUP — Services are pending for Casey Kent Thomas, 25.

Thomas died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008 in Los Angeles. He was born July 22, 1982 in Gallup. Their will be a family meeting at Chichiltah Jones Ranch Chapter House, 6 p.m., today, Jan. 10.
