GALLUP — Funeral services for Ervin
Manuel Begaye, 43, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Rollie
Mortuary, Gallup. Burial will be in Jones Ranch on family land.
Begaye died Jan. 19, 2008, in Gallup.
He was born March 25, 1964, in Ganado into the Start of the Red
Streak People Clan for the Black Streak Wood People Clan.
Begaye graduated from Gallup High School
in 1982. He enjoyed playing and watching basketball, baseball
and softball. He was employed by Wendy’s for 22 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Brendee
Lewis of Gallup, Bridget M. Begaye, Brittney M. Begaye, Brook
M. Begaye, all of Fort Wingate, Nakeisha Begaye of Gallup; parents,
Manuel E. Begaye of Jones Ranch, Lena J. Begaye of Gallup; brothers,
Erwin M. Begaye of Tollhouse, Calif., Edwin M. Begaye of Gallup,
Marvin M. Begaye of Norman, Okla.; sisters, Edwina M. Hunter Tollhouse,
Calif.; grandparents, Helen Winney of Chinle; two grandchildren.
Begaye was preceded in death by Dale Winney
Sr.; Charlie and Mary H. Begaye.
The family will receive relatives and
friends at Chichiltah Chapter House, following services.
Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
CROWNPOINT — Services are pending for Brandon
Platero, 24.
Platero died Jan. 19, 2008. He was born June
25, 1983 in Gallup.
A family meeting will be Wednesday, Jan. 23
at the Crownpoint Chapter at 5 p.m.
Cope Memorial is in charge of arrangments.
