Wanita Abeita
PREWITT Services for Wanita P. Abeita, 101, will be 10
a.m. today, March 6, at the Prewitt Assembly of God Church. Pastor
Ruth Droll will officiate. Burial will be in Thoreau Community
Cemetery.
Abeita died March 1, 2008, in Grants. She was born Nov. 6, 1906,
in Prewitt.
Survivors included her children, Johnny Abeita of Thoreau, Dino
Abeita of Grants, Benny Abeita of Prewitt; three grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren; six great-great-great-grandchildren.
Abeita was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Abeita; parents,
George Parkett and Mary Parkett; daughters, Alice Abeita, Janet
Abeita; son, Billy Nez; many brothers and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Don Begay, Jonathan Abeita, Dwayne Begay,
Dion Begay, Donald Begay and Gary Yazzie.
Compassion Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
Frank Pino
RAMAH Funeral services for Frank Sam Pino, 98, will be
9 a.m. Friday, March 7, at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
Church, Ramah. Bishop Allen Lewis will officiate. Burial will
be in Ramah. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. at the Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints Church.
Pino died March 3, 2008, in Ramah. He was born May 25, 1910,
in Ramah, into the Salt Water People Clan for the Meadow People
Clan.
Pino worked for the railroad, on farms, ranches, and was a carpenter.
He enjoyed horseback riding, being with grandchildren and hunting
with his family.
Survivors include his sons, Amos Pino, Elden Pino, Melton Pino;
daughters, Janie P. Coho, Leta P. Pat, Yvonne Pino; brother, Wilson
Pino; sisters, Sissy S. Pino, Sophie S. Pino, Anabah S. Pino;
44 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
Pino was preceded in death by Irene G. Pino; sons, Eugene S.
Pino, Sam S. Pino, Benjamin Pino; daughters, Isabell Pino, Lavern
Pino.
Pallbearers will be Amos Pino, Elden Pino, Melton Pino, Albertson
Pino, Bruce Coho, Keeno Pat, Warren Coho and Broncson Peiso.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Horst Konheiser
CHAMBERS Memorial service for Horst "Tony" Konheiser,
71, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 8, at Lutheran Church,
Chambers, Ariz.
Konheiser died February 29, 2008 in Gallup. He was born March
29, 1936 in Karlsbad, Czechoslovakia.
He was self-employed as co-owner of Chambers Trading Post.
Survivors include his wife, Julie; six grandchildren; brothers,
Gerd of LT Moriches, NY, Rudy of South Carolina; sister, Karin
Marchlewski of Liibeck, Germany.
Konheiser was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs R.
Konhesier; sister Hilda.
Rollie Memorial is in charge of arrangements.
Rose Livingston
GALLUP Funeral services for Rose Davis Livingston, 78,
will be 10 a.m. March 7, at the Rollie Chapel. Jake Yazzie Sr.,
will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.
Livingston died March 2, 2008, in Phoenix. She was born Aug.
19, 1929, in Springstead, into the Black Streak Wood People Clan
for the Towering House People Clan.
Livingston was a homemaker, silversmith, beader, rancher and
loved arts and crafts such as making her own traditional outfits.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis Livingston of Fruitland, Leo
Livingston of Rio Rancho, Johnson Livingston of San Francisco;
daughters, Louise Livingston of Gallup, Lucinda White of Pinedale,
Jean Cody of Pinon, Pauline Livingston of Manuelito; brothers,
Jimmy Davis of Payson, Jeffery Davis Sr. of Tuba City, Roy Davis
of Crownpoint, Herbert Davis of Pinehaven; sisters, Mariann Watchman
of Window Rock, Rose Mary Barker of Tse Bonito, Lucy Davis of
Coyote Canyon, Maria Lane of Concho Valley, Ruth Davis of Pinehaven,
Cecelia Davis of Pinehaven, Pearl James of Albuquerque, Geneivie
Yazzie of Carson, N.M., LaVita Davis of Tohatchi; 26 grandchildren;
27 great-grandchildren.
Livingston was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Livingston;
sons, Crystal and Nelson Livingston; daughter, Marjorie Blackgoat;
father, Jeff Davis; mother, Nonabah Natazzie Arviso Davis; grandfather,
Frank Joe Arviso.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Rehoboth Fellowship
Hall, following services.
