Wow! New apartments going up in Gallup

GALLUP — A monthly compilation of permits issued for Gallup show a few little projects and one big one. Soon, the city will enjoy brand new two- and three-bedroom apartments. The complex will be located at 350 Basilio Drive in east Gallup near Rocky View Elementary School and are called the Casamera Apartments in the list of issued permits. Qualco Builders LLC is listed as the contractor for the project.

According to Director of Planning and Zoning C.B. Strain the site will contain 72 units and is a privately funded project. He said construction should begin very soon.

“They breaking ground pretty quick,” Strain said.
In addition to the construction permit, the contractor’s grading permit at the site was also approved. It was valued at $150,000.

An addition to a residential address owned by Rulles and Renee Dove was also approved. It is valued at $30,000 and is located at 2003 S. Mariyana St.

A few commercial additions were also approved at various locations. Their combined value is listed at $68,875.
