Rainaldi will not run again By Bill Donovan GALLUP The big news in the filings for state
candidates Tuesday from this area was the decision by state Sen.
Lidio Rainaldi, D-Gallup, not to run again for state Senate from
District 4. Rainaldi, who has been in the position for eight years,
said he decided not to run for re-election primarily because of
health reasons. He did not elaborate. Irvin Harrison, who was a state representative and
then resigned to work for he Public Regulatory Commission, is now
back running for his old seat. Thomas A. Garcia, who represents
District 1 in San Juan County and Ken Martinez, who represents Cibola
County, are the only representative races in this area who is unopposed. Representative candidates:
