Fun Activities

PETRIFIED FOREST, Ariz. — Four days of hands-on activities designed for families and focusing on cultural resources found in the park. In the Painted Desert Visitor Center Plaza area, March 21,22,28 and 29 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Families are encouraged to try their hand at making clay pottery, creating their own designs for pottery puzzles, and working with an archelologist to assemble broken pottery vessels. Free and open to public.

Memorial Wall

SMITH LAKE — Smith Lake Veterans Organization is collecting names of Navajo Veterans across the Navajo Nation for the memorial wall that is being constructed at Smith Lake Veterans Hall.
