McCray’s Championship Bullriding
SMOOTHROCK, N.M. — McCray’s Championship
Bullriding will take place April 6 at 1:30 p.m. at Bahe’s
Arena (2 1/2 miles west of Yah-Ta-Hay).
Books open at 10 a.m.
Entry fees are $80 for open bullriding, $55
for legends (35-years-and-over) and $55 for junior bullriding
(12-16 years). Entry fee is $5 for the added attraction of Kids

Gallup Venon basketball tournament
GALLUP — The 2nd Annual Gallup Venom fundraising
basketball tournament will take place April 9-13 at Miyamura High
School.
Entry fee is $150 with four games guaranteed.
There will three divisions for boys and girls (fifth grade-and-under,
12-and-under, and 14-and-under). Deadline for entry is April 4.

Boyz Invitational
REHOBOTH — The 4th Annual Boyz Invitational
boys and girls high school basketball tournament will take place
April 10-12 at Rehoboth High School (old gymnasium).
Entry fee is $150. A $75 deposit will hold place
on bracket. Awards will be given.

Saddle bronc riding school
CHINLE, Ariz. — A saddle bronc riding school
hosted by two-time NFR qualifier Rance Bray will take place April
11-13 at 9 a.m. at Gorman’s Rodeo Arena.
Entry fee is $250. Two weeks advance deposit
of $100.

Broncs, Barrels and Bulls
CHINLE, Ariz. — Broncs, Barrels and Bulls
will take place April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at Gorman’s Rodeo Arena.
Entry fees are $100 for bronc riding and bull
riding and $80 for barrel racing. Awards will be given.

Adult softball meeting
GALLUP — An Adult Softball meeting will
take place April 15 at 7 p.m. at the Larry Mitchell Recreation
Center.
Entry is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Deadline is April 25. No exceptions.
League start date is May 12.
Fastpitch softball meeting
GALLUP — The Gallup Fastpitch Softball
Association has scheduled an entry deadline for April 18 with
the full payment of $325 due to Gloria Lopez at the Independent
newspaper.
Only teams that have paid the full fee will
be allowed to play in the league.

TWIN LAKES — The ‘Lookin Great in
2008’ Fitness Series Events 5k fun runs/walks will take place
April 18 at the Twin Lakes Chapter.

Mother’s Day Run
IYANBITO — The inaugural Mother’s
Day Run will take place Sunday, May 11, at 9 a.m. at the 51A Dakota
Loop.
This is the first of four races. Entry fee is
