WINDOW ROCK — Navajo Nation Public Safety Committee members said they have concerns with the budget for the tribe’s Fire and Rescue Services during a special meeting Wednesday.

The budget offered for fiscal year 2010 has only enough funds for the operation of six of the 17 fire trucks that the department has. That includes high costs such as insurance. Paying the costs for all 17 of the fire trucks would wipe out the budget for the Fire and Rescue Services operations for FY 2010.
