VP Shelly details state of the nation

WINDOW ROCK — President Joe Shirley underwent surgery to have his appendix taken out Saturday and was not available to deliver the state of the nation during the Navajo Nation Council’s summer session.

Shirley reportedly was released Monday morning from Rehoboth McKinley Christian Hospital in Gallup and was recovering at his home.
