Native Gathering
COLORADO — 15th annual Chimney Rock Native American Cultural Gathering will be July 25-26, at the Chimney Rock Archaeological Area, near Pagosa Springs, Colo. Will be traditional Aztec dancers and 3 different Hopi dance groups, singers and dancers from Acoma Pueblo.
Andrew Garcia will bring the Tewa dancers from the North. Indian market and food booths available.

Vacation School
GALLUP — Vacation Bible school for children K-5th grade, will be 9 a.m.-12 p.m., July 27-31, at the First United Methodist Church, Gallup. Register now at First United Methodist or Westminster Presbyterian. $2 per child a week in Ancient Rome with the Apostle Paul and many of his friends. Scholarships available.
Children and youth will explore the caves of the Underground Church, visit the Apostle Paul, and more. Vendors include a spinner/dyer, exotic spice seller from Egypt, Rabbi who is an imperial scribe and more.

Taize’ Style

Table Top Telephone Co., Inc., and the State of Arizona announce a revised program to provide telephone service to Native Americans residing within the Navajo Indian Reservation.
The cost for telephone service is as low as $1. To qualify, you must obtain residential telephone service within the 928-688-xxx Sanders Exchange, and meet requirements listed: Bureau of Indian Affairs (BiA) General Assistance Program; Tribally administered Temporary Assistance for Needy Families Block Grant program; Head Start programs (only those meeting its income qualifying standard); National School Lunch Program’s free lunch program; Medicaid; Food Stamps; Supplemental Security Income; Federal Public Housing Assistance; Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program; Income at or below 150% of the Federally Recognized Poverty Guidelines.
