Cibola Detention administrator quits following DWI arrest

GRANTS — Cibola County Detention Center Jail Administrator Mark Ewell tendered his resignation Friday following an investigation into his arrest for driving under the influence.

Ewell, who held the detention center’s top position first as an appointed acting county jail administrator and later as a permanent administrator headed the detention center for approximately a year and a half.
