GALLUP — Crystalyne Gayle Curley, Miss Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonial 2008-2009, arrived at Wednesday’s luncheon for the Ceremonial Queen contestants bearing gifts of earrings for each queen hopeful.

On Saturday evening, Curley will give away her Ceremonial crown to just one talented young woman. Between Wednesday and Saturday, the six Native American women vying for this year’s title will participate in six areas of competition: modeling traditional regalia, public speaking, a written essay, modern talent, traditional or cultural activity, and a Southwest fashion demonstration.
