Gloria Etsitty

TOHLAKAI — Services for Gloria Ann Etsitty, 59, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 15, at Navajo Trinity Church. The Rev. Dennis Gardner will officiate. Burial will be in family cemetery.

Etsitty died Aug. 12, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 3, 1950, in Fort Defiance, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Tach-chi-ni People Clan.

Etsitty attended Tohatchi, Intermountain Indian School, and Wingate. She was a homemaker, and worked for Quality Home Care as a caretaker and did silver smithing.

Survivors include her sons, Clayton B. Tom Sr., Ricky Castillo, Christopher Castillo; daughters, Thelma Castillo, Laura Patterson; father, Wilson Etsitty; step-father, James Smith Sr.; brothers, Jerry Etsitty, Joe Etsitty, James Smith Jr.; eight grandchildren.

Etsitty was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Etsitty.

Pallbearers will be Clayton Tom Sr., Ricky Castillo, Christopher Castillo, Elton Jones, Bryan Tom, and Frank Benally.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Norma Johnson

CROWNPOINT — Services are pending for Norma Mae Johnson, 46.

Johnson died Aug. 12, 2009, in Albuquerque. She was born June 15, 1966, in Crownpoint.

A family meeting will be 6 p.m., tonight, Aug. 14, at Crownpoint Chapter.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
