Harry Bahe

CHICHILTAH — Services for Harry Mike Bahe, 44, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Bishop Jerry DuBois will officiate. Burial will be in Gallup City Cemetery, Gallup.

Bahe died July 25, 2009, in Tucson. He was born April 28, 1965, in Gallup, into the Mexican People Clan for the Black Streak People Clan.

Bahe attended Gallup High School. His hobbies included vehicle body repair and mechanics. In his past time he liked to play basketball, softball and make his family and friends laugh.

Survivors include his sons, Mario M. Bahe of Albuquerque, Daniel H. Bahe of San Francisco, Calif.; daughters, Natalia N. Bahe of Albuquerque, Ariel Bahe of Santa Fe; brothers, Jones Bahe of Chichiltah, Ray Bahe of Chinle, Earl Bahe of Whiteriver; sister, Geneva Becenti of Albuquerque.

Bahe was preceded in death by his father, Billy Bahe; mother, Betty Joe Becenti; brother, Tim Bahe; grandparents, John Bahe, Tom Joe, Elizabeth Bahe, Ruby DuBoise-Rosenburg.

Pallbearers will be Jason Bahe, Vernon Begay, Philbert Brown Sr., Anthony Spencer Jr., and other family members.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Lions Club Hall, Gallup.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Jose Chavez

GALLUP — Services are pending for Jose L. Chavez, 92.

Chavez died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, in Gallup. He was born March 28, 1917, in El Paso, Texas.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Roger Williams Sr.

SANDERS — Graveside services for Roger Salaba Williams Sr., 67, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Sept. 4, at Nahata Dziil Community Cemetery, Sanders. Burial will be in Nahata Dziil Cemetery.

Williams died Aug. 31, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born March 14, 1942, in Howell Mesa, Ariz., into the Near the Mountain Towering House People Clan for the Rock Gap People Clan.

Williams relocated from Hopi Partitioned Land area. He sacrificed for his home land at Howell Mesa. He attended Tuba City Boarding School, graduated from Phoenix Indian School and attended Arizona State University for 1 1/2 years.

He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam with special forces and was discharged in Jan. 1968. Williams trained in vocational building trades through Northland Pioneer College. He was a member of the local veteran organization.

Survivors include his sons, Roger Williams Jr., Thomas Williams; daughters, Regina James, Catherine “Cat” Esquivels; brothers, Jefferson Williams, Jerry Williams; sisters, Anna Marie Williams, Ella Wauneka, Jean Williams Horseson, Diana Williams, LaDawn Yazzie, Selena Smith, Arleen Mitchell, Carol Morris; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Williams was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Zonnie Williams; brohter, Harry Williams; grandparents, Joe and Marie Selaw, Sagani and Lillian Sonnie; daughter, Saraphine Williams.

Pallbearers will be Clifford Cayaditto, Delmore George, Stephen Wauneka, Joel James, Gilbert Yazzie, Aaron Cayaditto.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Williams’ residence on 163 Cliffrose Lane, Sanders, following services.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
