Bookmobile

Rural Bookmobile West will be Sept. 9, at Aragon Post Office, 9:30-10:30 p.m.; Apache Creek Store, 11 a.m.-12 p.m.; Reserve Rode Inn Motel, 1:30-3:30 p.m.; Luna Post Office, 4:30-5:30 p.m. Books by mail provides library service to those who are not reached by bookmobiles or public libraries. Local Outreach

KAYENTA — Department of Labor local outreach event, will be 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sept. 9, at the Hampton Inn Kaytena Conference room, Kayenta. Local Outreach is to assist claimants that may be eligible for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act, which is set up to assist qualified uranium workers who were employed at a Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Section 5, uranium mine, uranium mill or buying stations at any time during the period Jan. 1, 1942 through Dec. 31, 1971. NANHATA — DSS/LIHEAP accepting applications at Nanhata Dziil Chapter, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. and Houck Chapter, 12:30-3:30 p.m. Applications taken daily on Mondays and Tuesdays at Fort Defiance LIHEAP office. Bring updated copies of CIB, SS Cards, Income Verifications, food stamps/donated food verifications, legal guardianship and original NTUA statement or Propane receipts/invoices. If you applied from Oct., 2008, to present, you are not eligible.

GALLUP — Meet and greet for UNM and RMCHCS, will be 6-8 p.m., Sept. 9, at Angela’s Cafe Con Lenche, Gallup. Help us welcome Executive Director Dr. Sylvia Rodriguez Andrew to UNM-Gallup and the new CEO for RMCHCS, Karen Lautermilch. Refreshments will be served.

Aerobics

WINDOW ROCK — Navajo Nation Fair 2 hour aerobic will be 6-8 p.m., tonight, Sept. 8, at Window Rock Sports Center. Will have Line Dancing prior to this starting at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 (1st 50 people receive bags), door prizes and giveaways, refreshments and spaghetti dinner to be served.
