KAYENTA — Department of Labor local outreach event, will be 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sept. 9, at the Hampton Inn Kaytena Conference room, Kayenta. Local Outreach is to assist claimants that may be eligible for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act, which is set up to assist qualified uranium workers who were employed at a Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Section 5, uranium mine, uranium mill or buying stations at any time during the period Jan. 1, 1942 through Dec. 31, 1971. Bring updated copies of CIB, SS Cards, Income Verifications, food stamps/donated food verifications, legal guardianship and original NTUA statement or Propane receipts/invoices. If you applied from Oct., 2008, to present, you are not eligible.
