WINDOW ROCK — The Uranium Policy Subcommittee of the New Mexico Legislature has its hands full in coming up with a five-year plan to address the state’s uranium legacy issues: lack of funding, lack of staff, and lack of information that makes the 18-minute gap in the Nixon-era Watergate tapes almost enviable.

The subcommittee will meet this week in Albuquerque to further discuss problems and remedies outlined at an Aug. 24 meeting at Red Rock Park in Gallup.
