Deaths

Martha Largo

CROWNPOINT —Services for Martha Freeland Largo, 78, will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Crownpoint Christian Reformed Church in Crownpoint. The Rev. Carlos Baki will officiate. Burial will follow at the Crownpoint Community Cemetery.

Largo died Sept. 17, 2009, in Crownpoint. She was born March 19, 1931, in Rehoboth into the Mountain Cove People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.

Largo graduated from Rehoboth High School. She graduated from UNM with a Masters degree in Education/Counseling. She was employed with Fort Wingate High School as a dormitory counselor, where she retired.

Survivors include her daughters Charolette Largo Saunders; brothers Daniel Freeland, Dr. Franklin Freeland, both of Gallup; sisters Phyllis DeVore of Crownpoint, Helen Waukazoo of San Francisco; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Largo was preceded in death by her parents Alfred Freeland and Kitnasbah Charley; sons, Arnold Largo, Al Montes; daughters Charlene Largo, Dorcus Largo; brothers Vern Freeland II, Benjamin Freeland, Harold Freeland, Herbert Freeland, Johnny Freeland, Willine Devore, Johnny Freeland Jr., Herbert Freeland Jr.

Pallbearers will be Russell Saunders, Cameron Saunders, Ronald Saunders Jr., Jesse Saunders, Michael Montes, and Ronald Saunders Sr.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Crownpointr Chapter House following services.
Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Randall Misener

BERKELEY, Calif. — Services for Randall David “Randy” Misener will be at the First Baptist Church of Belen at 4 p.m., on Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009.

Misener died Sept. 17, 2009, in Berkeley. He was born March 26, 1962, in Berkeley and lived most of his life in Belen. He graduated from Belen High School and entered the NM State Police. He owned and operated his own construction company and was an avid sportsman, car enthusiast and member of First Baptist Church of Belen where he served as deacon, Sunday school teacher and director. He enjoyed being around family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Liddy Rymarz-Misener; parents Milford Misener, Coral Misener, both of Belen; sisters Charie Ritrchie, Denise Gleason, both of Albuquerque, brother Gary Misener of Germany

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NM Baptist Children’s Home, P.O. Box 629, Portales, NM 88130.
