Paulando Apachito

PINE HILL — Memorial services for Paulando Juan Apachito, 19, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at Garcia Ranch Church of God, Ramah. Dr. A.J. Williams will officiate. Burial will be in private family plot, Ramah.

Apachito died Sept. 20, 2009, in Pinehill. He was born July 3, 1990, in Gallup, into the Salt Water People Clan for the Sleep Rock People Clan.

Apachito attended Pinehill Elementary, Mid-School and High School. His favorite hobbies included horseback riding and tending to livestock with his grandfather. He had great love and admiration for horses and ranching. He was very friendly and outgoing with a great personality, always had a smile.

Survivors include his parents, Paul Apachito Sr. of Pinehill, Marvetta Jones of Pine Hill; brothers, Paulriah Apachito, Paul Apachito Jr., Romeo Pino, all of Pine Hill; sisters, Marjorie Secatero, Paulette Apachito, Kimberlene Pino, all of Pine Hill; grandparents, Harry Jones of Cortez, Ellen Apachito of Pine Hill.

Apachito was preceded in death by his grandmother, Anna Pittarry; great-grandmother, Alice R. Jake; grandfather, Juan Pedro Apachito.

Pallbearers will be Sanandro Natan, Joshua Natan, Jerome Natan, Jaythan Natan, Jarvin Smith, Shane Cohoe, Conrad Raphaelito, Harrison Martinez Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at 6 p.m., at Ramah Chapter House.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Hoskie Bitsilly Sr.

NAVAJO — Funeral Mass for Hoskie Bitsilly Sr., 76, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. The Rev. Gilbert Synder OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Defiance. Visitation will be 9 a.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. A rosary will be recited in Tse Bonito Mortuary.

Bitsilly died Sept. 20, 2009, in Phoenix. He was born April 4, 1933, in Greasewood, into the Redhouse People Clan for the Honey Comb People Clan.

Bitsilly was retired after 35 years as superintendent of the Navajo Forest Product Industry. He attended Phoenix Indian School, Vocational School for mechanic paint and body welder. He enjoyed watching wrestling. Bitsilly served 3 years in the Korean War and was discharged as a major staff sergeant. He received the Golden Glove Champion while in the Army, awarded 3 bronze stars, Korean Service metal from President George Bush Sr., Congressional metal and a Purple Heart. Bitsilly was a devoted and proud son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Survivors include his sons, Benjamin Leo Bitsilly, Hoskie Bahe Bitsilly Jr., Jonathan David Bitsilly, Mickey Lee; daughters, Barbara Crawford, Sarah Bitsilly; brother, Donald Bitsilly; sister, Marie James; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Bitsilly was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Bitsilly; parents, Nathan Yazzie Bitsilly, Louise Yazzie Bitsilly; brothers, Jones Bitsilly, Kee Bitsilly, Bahe Bitsilly, Harry Bitsilly, Basil Bitsilly, Tom Bitsilly; sisters, Mary Keams, Mattie Terry, Mae Jones, Hilda Begay, Sally Spencer, Elsie Yazzie; one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be Twin Warrior Society Honor Guard and Red Lake Veterans #18.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Dominic Parish Hall, following services.

Scott Costley

GALLUP — Services are pending for Scott Costley, 21.

Costley died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 21, 1988, in Gallup.

Harry Wilson

PINE HILL — Funeral services for Harry Wilson, 66, will be 12 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 26, at Sand Mountain Church of Nazarene, Pine Hill. Gilbert Maria will officiate. Burial will be in Ozark family land, Pine Hill.

Wilson died Sept. 22, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born Aug. 4, 1943, in Zuni, into the Meadow People Clan for the Two That Came to the Water People Clan.

Survivors include his wife, Elsie Wilson of Pine Hill; sons, Eli Wilson of Pine Hill, Emerson Alonzo of Albuquerque; daughter, Alicia Hooper of Albuquerque; three grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Daryll Pino, Leo L. Pino, Robert Poregan Jr., Delphine Antonio, Larry Largo, Kee Lee.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Ozark OC, following services.
