Hopi bans enviros Copyright © 2009 WINDOW ROCK — The Hopi Tribe has a message for the Sierra Club and other local and national environmental groups: Keep out! On Monday, by a resolution approved 12-0, the Tribal Council declared the Sierra Club, the Natural Resources Defense Council, the National Parks Conservation Association and Grand Canyon Trust persona non grata, saying they and on-reservation organizations sponsored by or affiliated with these groups are no longer welcome on the Hopi Reservation.
