$12,000 stolen from Burnside gas station

WINDOW ROCK — An employee of the Chevron Gas Station in Burnside, Ariz., is suspected of stealing nearly $12,000 from several money deposits and from ATMs.

The theft was reported to the Window Rock District Law Enforcement by owner Nina Heflin Sept. 26.

The suspected employee is not in custody, according to Navajo Nation police.
