Eleanor Hoskie
SANDERS — Services for Eleanor Nakai Hoskie, 83, will be 10 a.m., at Navajo Assembly of God Church, Houck. The Rev. Kathryn Pierce will officiate. Burial will be in Houck Community Cemetery.
Hoskie died Nov. 5, 2009, in Chinle. She was born May 15, 1926, in Chambers, into the Bigwater People Clan for the One Walks Around People Clan.
Survivors include her sons, Benny Bahe, David Hoskie, both of Sanders; daughter, Winnie Hoskie; brothers, Johnny Nakai, Kee Nakai, both of Sanders.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Navajo Assembly of God Fellowship Hall, following services.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Robert Tsosie
FORT DEFIANCE — Funeral services for Robert Lee Tsosie, 65, were 10 a.m., today, Nov. 7, at Silver Creek Memorial Chapel, Tse Bonito. The Rev. Jerry Tom will officiate. Burial will be in Fort Defiance Veterans Cemetery.
Tsosie was born June 27, 1944, in Ganado, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Red House People Clan.
Tsosie attended Ganado Elementary, Fort Seal, Okla., and graduated from Phoenix Indian High School. He was employed with Navajo Forestry, Community Warehouse, Navajo Housing Authority and worked with various construction companies.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps as PVT and Rifleman. Tsosie received the National Defense Service Medal.
Pallbearers will be Carleton Joe, Oliver Chee, Gary Tsosie, Paul Begay, Jack O.
The family will receive relatives and friends at Tsosie’s residence, Fort Defiance.
