Garnett Bohannon

BLUEWATER — Funeral services for Garnett L. Bohannon, 40, will be 1 p.m., Nov. 10, at Grace Baptist Church, Milan. Burial will be in Pioneer Memorial Park, Bluewater.

Bohannon died Nov. 4, 2009, in Farmington. He was born July 16, 1969, in Albuquerque.

Bohannon lived life openly and passionately. He had many friends and was loved by many. He was known for his kindness and free spirit. He loved nature and to tell a good story. He will be missed.

Survivors include his partner, Heather Newlin of Farmington; daughter, Ashley Bohannon of Bluewater; mother, Lynda Bohannon of Bluewater; brother, Weston Bohannon of Bluewater; sister, Lynsey Elkins of Milan.

Bohannon was preceded in death by his father, Sonny Bohannon; grandparents.

Pallbearers will be Weston Bohannon, Les Thorton, Dave Dillon, Jacob O’Neil, Kelly Thompson, Allen Key.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heather Newlin at Grants State Bank.

Edward Harvey

LUKACHUKAI — Funeral services for Edward Bahe Harvey, 102, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 10, at St. Isabele Mission Church, Lukachukai. Mary Manning will officiate. Burial will be in St. Isabele Mission. Visitation will be 9 a.m., at St. Isabele Mission.

Harvey died Nov. 6, 2009, in Chinle. He was born May 15, 1908, in Lukachukai, into the Mexican People Clan for the Red House People Clan.

Harvey attended Haskell Indian Institute. He worked for the railroad and was a Navajo Nation grazing officer where he retired. Harvey was in the medicine man association, National Guard, Native America Church, Lukachukai Rodeo Committee, Grazing Committee, was active in the Lukachukai community, and was a marathon runner. His hobbies included watching football, sports and Native American traditional ceremonies.

Survivors include his sons, Leo G. Harvey, Leon Harvey, Edison Harvey; daughters, Elizabeth Johnson, Alice Roanhorse, Mary Ann Morris, Rena George, Pearl Harvey, Lyz Frazier, Helen Becenti; brother, Fred Harvey; 50 grandchildren; 250 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.

Harvey was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Harvey; parents, Blue Eyes, Margaret Harvey; brothers, Tom Harvey; sister, Helen Harvey.

Pallbearers will be Harold Roanhorse, Gary Morris, Arnold Johnson, Herbet Harvey, Derrick Harvey.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Lukachukai Chapter House, following services.

Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Alice Watson

BLACKHAT — Funeral services are pending for Alice K. Watson, 84.

Watson died Nov. 7, 2009, in Gallup. She was born Aug. 8, 1925, in Wild Cat Springs.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
