Hopi Code Talkers to be honored Copyright © 2009 KYKOTSMOVI, Ariz. — A bronze plaque honoring the eight Hopi Code Talkers who served in World War II has finally arrived, and preparations are in the works to dedicate it during a Veterans Day observance at the Hopi Veterans Memorial Center. Travis Yaiva is the last surviving Hopi Code Talker out of eight who served their country.
