Robber on film Copyright © 2009 GALLUP — Police have released photos of a suspect who robbed Pinnacle Bank in downtown Gallup Tuesday. Police have not yet identified the man pictured in surveillance photos taken during the robbery, which Gallup Police detectives released Wednesday. The man held up Pinnacle Bank at 307 W. Aztec Ave. about 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to Gallup Police Deputy Chief John Allen. Allen said the man is Native American, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall, and weighs about 180 pounds. He has acne or acne scars on his face. The man waited in line for a teller and then implied to the teller that he had a weapon. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash from the teller’s drawer. Witnesses said the man was wearing a long, dark colored coat and a dark ball cap at the time of the robbery. Tuesday’s robbery was Gallup’s third bank robbery within 60 days. Police believe a different man robbed Bank of America Sept. 30, and yet a different man robbed Pinnacle Bank at 1804 E. Aztec Ave. Oct. 13. All three men executed the robbery in a similar fashion. Crimestoppers is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of any of the robbers. Crimestoppers in Gallup can be reached at (505) 722-6161. |
