Maude Doremus

BLUEWATER — Graveside services for Maude C. Doremus, 99, will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 23, at the Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, Bluewater.
Doremus died Nov. 20, 2009, in Bluewater. She was born Sept. 14, 1910, in Table Rock, Neb.
Survivors include her sons, Farrell Parks of Bluewater, Gibson Grant Park of St. Johns, Keith Park of Richland, Mo., Richard Park of Ill.; daughter, Shirley Park-Allen of Green Valley; 25 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren.

Doremus was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Rulon Bailey Parks, Clarence Glenn Doremus; parents, Samuel S. Carter, Ethel Gold Carter; sons, Rulon Parks, Ernest Glenn Doremus.

David Quintana

GRANTS — Funeral Mass for David Quintana, Sr., 79, will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 24, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Grants Memorial Park with full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3221. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., Monday, Nov. 23, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.

Quintana died Nov. 20, 2009, in Albuquerque. He was born on Feb. 30, 1930, in Pecos.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a uranium miner.

Survivors include his children, David Quintana, Jr., Patrick Quintana, both of Grants, David Quintana of Silver City, Patsy Quintana of Silver City, Dolores Marquez, Beverly Marquez, Geraldine Marquez, Steven Marquez all of Denver, Colo.; sisters, Becky Sanchez of Grants, Thelma Auguilar of Silver City, Susie Roybal of Grants, Ramona Sapien of Silver City; brothers, Ruben Sandoval of Grants, Rudy Sandoval of Grants.

Quintana was preceded in death by his parents, Fruitoso Quintana and Eufemia Sandoval Quintana; son, Lorenzo Quintana; daughter, Nadine Marquez; sisters, Juanita Chavez, Cora Gonzales, Gloria Dubiate; brother, Louie Armijo.

Pallbearers will be John Carreon, Carlos Rodriguez, David Vigil, Leonard Vigil, Luis Salcido and Tom Roybal.
