Women’s Award

GALLUP — Gallup Soroptimists seek applicants for it’s Women’s Opportunity Award. This program provides cash grants to women who are working to better their lives through additional skills training or education. You are eligible to apply if you are: a women with primary financial responsibility for yourself and your dependents; you are attending an undergraduate degree program or a vocational skills training program; and have financial need. The cash award is a minimum of $500. The application period is Sept. 15, to Dec. 1, 2009. Wrap Up

GALLUP — Help wrap up a kitchen for Christmas. You can help wrap up a kitchen for the new Habitat for Humanity house beginning the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving (Nov. 27 and 28). If you aren’t traveling, please consider taking a three-hour break at the Rio West Mall to wrap gifts. GALLUP — Crafts and gifts and baked goodies will be on sale Nov. 27-28, at 808 E. 66 Ave., from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Gift baskets arrangements, wreaths and swags, baked goods and more.

No More Wood

CHURCHROCK — Churchrock Chapter is no longer buying wood.
