Local Outreach

KAYENTA — Department of Labor local outreach event, will be 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Dec. 2, at the Hampton Inn Kaytena Conference room, Kayenta. Local Outreach is to assist claimants that may be eligible for benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act, which is set up to assist qualified uranium workers who were employed at a Radiation Exposure Compensation Act Section 5, uranium mine, uranium mill or buying stations at any time during the period Jan. 1, 1942 through Dec. 31, 1971. Early Registration

GALLUP — Beginning Nov. 30 until finals week Dec. 14-18, the Students Services department will register students by department. Registration for new students will begin during the week of finals. Faculty have been asked to tell current students to register during the correct time period. Dec. 1-2: Applied Tech (Auto Tech, Collision Repair Tech, Construction Tech, Cosmetology, Drafting Tech, Welding Tech), Math and Science. UNMG reopens Jan. 4, after the winter break. Spring classes start Jan. 19. Deadline for Spring 2010 admissions applications is Monday, Jan. 11. Starting Tuesday, Jan. 12, a late admission fee of $50 will be in effect. Info call 505-863-7522.
