Késhmish Festival

WINDOW ROCK — Children’s Activities, Native American films, will be 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Dec. 5, at the Navajo Nation Museum. Will be vendors, book signing, food, door prizes, children activities and more. Black/White Ball

Kids Matinee

GALLUP — Kids matinee movie: Tim Burton’s The Nightmare before Christmas will be 1 p.m., Dec. 5, at El Morro Theatre. Admission is $2 adults and children 12 and under is free.

Entertainment

GALLUP — Noche De Recuerdos featuring Antonio Reyna with guests Mariachi Buenaventura, Trio Los Amigos, Ballet en Fuego de Frances Lujan and Jesus Hernandez, will be at El Morro Theatre at 7 p.m., Dec. 5. General admission is $15, advanced purchase at Millennium Media Office or at the door the night of the show.

ST. MICHAELS — Christmas arts and crafts sale will be 9 a.m.-4 p.m., Dec. 5, at St. Michael Catholic Mission gym. Snacks, raffle, door prizes and more. Vendors are welcome: $20 for an 8 foot table and space. Info call 871-4171.

Important Meeting

RED MESA — Important meeting will be 1 p.m., Dec. 5, at Red Mesa Chapter House, to discuss the status of Pelt v. Utah. Attorneys representing the trust beneficiaries will talk about the history of the trust and lawsuit. The status of possible settlement will be discussed. Everyone is invited. Spelling Bee

SNOWFLAKE — The 2010 Navajo County Spelling Bee will be 2 p.m., Feb. 19, 2010, in Snowflake High School Auditorium. Approximately 60 finalists of local spelling bees will be present to compete for trophies, medallions, and a chance to go to the state level. Cash prizes are awarded to the first three finishers. The top speller will advance to Phoenix with 26 other state finalists to determine who will represnet Arizona in the National Spellng Bee held in Washington.
