GRANTS — Funeral Mass for Miguel Sifuentes, 87, will be 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 12, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will be in Grants Memorial park. The Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. A rosary will be recited 7 p.m., tonight, Dec. 11, at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.
Sifuentes died Dec. 9, 2009, in Grants. He was born May 8, 1922, in Matehuala, San Luis Potosi, Mexico.
Survivors include his wife, Maria Saucedo Sifuentes of Grants; children, Maria Griego of Grants, Efren Sifuentes of Queen Creek; brothers, Gabriel Sifuentes, Onesimo Sifuentes, both of Mexico; sisters, Margarita Pescina, Concepcion Sifuentes, Eulilia Puenta, all of Mexico; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
Sifuentes was preceded in death by his son, Miguel Sifuentes Jr.; parents, Domingo Sifuentes, Agustina Martinez Sifuentes; sisters, Refugia Vasquez, Maria Garay; brothers, Aurelio Sifuentes, Guadalupe Sifuentes.
Pallbearers will be Dave Griego, Don Griego, Emmanuel Sifuentes, Eddie Sifuentes, Pantaleon Cabrera, Luis Griego.
