Council delegate urinates on himself

DILKON — A Navajo policy maker allegedly urinated on himself in front of a police officer Oct. 10.

Council Delegate Omer Begay Jr., Cornfields/Greasewood Springs/Klagetoh/Wide Ruins, has been in the news before. There was the March 3, 2007, incident during which Begay Jr. allegedly punched his wife multiple times in the face. During that incident, Begay Jr. was allegedly drunk. Then there was the March 14, 2009, incident during which Begay Jr. allegedly took the law into his own hands. He used an ax handle to pummel men he believed had burglarized his property, and subsequently spent 10 hours in jail for battery.
