Jeffery Carnal

GALLUP — Services for Jeffery L. Carnal, 51, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, at Rollie Mortuary, Gallup. Burial will bein Sunset Memorial Park.

Carnal died Jan. 1, 2010, in Albuquerque. He was born June 29, 1958, in Farmington.

Carnal graduated from Gallup High School. He was employed with the family parts store business for many years. He also worked at Holiday Nursery. Carnal loved animals, nature and the outdoors. He was a gourmet cook and shared his creations with his many friends, neighbors and family.

Survivors include his brothers, Michael, Kent.
Carnal was preceded in death by his father, Vance Carnal; mother, Gloria Howes; sister, Ruth Anne Dates.

Pallbearers will be David LeBeck, Pete A. Leyba, Louis DePauli Jr., Johnny Piano, Randy Duran, Karl Gillson.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Elks Lodge, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Earl Carroll

NAVAJO, N.M. — Funeral services for Earl Edward Carroll, 48, will be St. Berard Catholic Church, Navajo. Deacon Wilson Gorman will officiate. Burial will be in family plot, Wheatfields. Visitation will be 9 a.m., Jan. 7.

Carroll died Dec. 30, 2009, in Farmington. He was born Nov. 11, 1961, in Wheatfields, into the Bitter Water People Clan for the Coyote Pass People Clan.

Carroll attended Lukachukai Boarding School and Many Farms High School. His hobbies included cooking, playing basketball and visiting with family and friends.

Survivors include his sons, Reehahlio Carroll, Enrique Carroll; daughters, Matilda Willie, Earlene Carroll; father, Francis Carroll Sr.; brothers, Roy Carroll, Frank Carroll, Francis Carroll Jr., Franklin Carroll, all of Wheatfields; sisters, Nellie Carroll of Rabbit Brush, Lillie Yazzie, Kathrine Carroll of Navajo, Alice John of Wheatfields, Gloria Bahe of Chinle; four grandchildren.

Carroll was preceded in death by his mother, Alice White Carroll; brothers, Benjamin Carroll, Frankie Carroll; sister Amelia Carroll.

Pallbearers will be Samuel John, Allaster John, Arnold John, Orlando Carroll, Orson Bahe, Orville Bahe.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Tsaile/Wheatfields Chapter, following services.

Cope Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Kyle Lesher

FORT DODGE — Visitation for Kyle H. Lesher, 18, will be 4-6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home.

Lesher died Friday, Jan. 1, 2010, in Fort Dodge. He was born July 31, 1991, in Gallup.

Lesher attended school in Aztec and moved with his family to Fort Dodge. He was in his senior year at Fort Dodge Senior High School. He enjoyed motocross, sprint racing, bull riding and being outdoors. Lesher was a member of the pit crew for Randy Rinehard Sprint Racing Team. He loved spending time with his family and friends.

Survivors include his parents, Randy and Darlene Lesher of Fort Dodge; brothers, Quinn Lesher of Williston, Fla., Lance Lesher, Dustin Lesher, both of Fort Dodge; grandparents, Marie Jim of Gallup, Betty and Charles Lesher of Denver, Pa.

Lesher was preceded in death by his grandfather, Daniel Jim.

Alfonso Lucero

GALLUP — Funeral services for Alfonso Ponchito Lucero, 86, will be 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, at St. Frances Church, Gallup. The Rev. Eduardo (Lalo) Espinsoa Chacon, OFM, will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Gallup. Visitation will be today, Jan. 6, at Rollie Mortuary. A rosary will be recited at St. Francis Church.

Lucero died Jan. 1, 2010, in Gallup. He was born Nov. 5, 1923, in McGaffy.

Lucero was retired from McKinley Schools. He was a life resident of Gallup. He loved being with family and watching t.v., sitting outside and especially drinking his coffee with cookies.

Survivors include his daughters, Nadine Garcia of Gamerco, Sylvia Rodriguez of Hobbs, Kristy Jaramillo of Gallup, Frances Jaramillo of Gallup; brother, Remijio (Mamie) Lucero Jr. of Gallup; sisters, Tillie Martinez of Gallup, Nellie Mora of Gallup; 8 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.

Lucero was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Lucero; parents, Remijio Lucero Sr., Francis Chavez; daughter, Rosalie Casias; brothers, Herman Lucero, Albert Lucero, Richard Lucero, Louie Lucero.

Pallbearers will be Robert Rodriguez Jr., Ismael Huazano, Martin Dominguez, Benny Jaramillo Jr., Ezequiel Ruiz, Eduardo Revuelta, Alejandro Garcia, Luis Rodriguez Jr.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Community Services Center, following services.

Venes Uliana

CORINTH, Texas — Funeral Mass for Venes (Vi) Joshephine Uliana, 86, will be 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 8, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. A rosary will be 5:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Gallup. Burial will be in Gallup.

Uliana died Jan. 4, 2010, in Corinth, Texas. She was born Feb. 15, 1923, in Gallup.

Uliana graduated from Gallup High School and got a degree from Western School of Business in Albuquerque. She was part of the civilian auxiliary support at Kirkland Airforce Base, Albuquerque, during World War II. Uliana was a wife, mother, stockbroker and inventor. She and her family have lived in San Jose, Calif., Denver, Colo., Albuquerque, Huntington Beach, Calif., Palm Springs, Calif. and Gallup. She and her sister are in the Gallup Museum recognized as native-born in Gallup and long time residents. When living in Gallup, she attended mass at Sacred Heart Cathedral on a daily basis.

Survivors include her children, Regina L. Uliana of California, Joseph A. Uliana of Hawaii, Judith A. Uliana-Condos of Texas; sister, Elsie Bernabe; brothers, Cecil Ferrari, Reed Ferrari; two grandchildren.

Jasper White

PINEDALE — Funeral services for Jasper H. White, 42, will be 10 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 7, at Rehoboth Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. Darellson Begay will officiate. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.

White died Jan. 1, 2010, in Gallup. He was born April 28, 1967, in Gallup, into the Black Streak Forest People Clan for the Grey Streak People Clan.

White attended Churchrock Elementary and graduated from Gallup High School. He was a member of USTRC-Team Roper and had a certificate of Construction from UNM. His hobbies included silversmithing, Kachina Crafting, ranching, roping and contractor (steers).

Survivors include his wife, Jerilene White; sons, Jeremiah Bahe, Brent White; daughters, Charmayne Bahe, Colleen Bahe, Racquel White, Teishawna White, Shelby White; parents, Tom and Lorraine White; brothers, Virgil White, Richard White, Ricky White; sisters, Laverne White, Rolanda White, Lorinda Henio.

White was preceded in death by his grandparents, Paul and Josephine Charley, Tom White Sr., Bah Yazzie White.

Pallbearers will be Richard White, Ricky White, Jeremiah Bahe, Arnold Leslie, Carlton Maria, Lyle White.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Tom and Lorraine White’s residence and will meet at Pine Dale Chapter, following services.

Rollie Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
