Youth Opportunity
SANTA FE Governor Richardson, the NMSBDC,
and other organizations are offering a Statewide Youth Business
Plan Competition for students ages 12-18 who want to explore their
dreams of starting their own business and gain knowledge of entrepreneurship.
The competition provides opportunity to compete individually or
in student teams for business start-up cash ranging from $100
to $800 depending on age group and competition placement which
includes 1st to 4th place and honorable mention. The two age groups
are 12-15 and 16-18. All business plan entries must be submitted
no later than Aug. 29, to address on application packet. Application
packets available at the UNM-G Small Business Development Center,
(SBDC), 103 West Hwy 66, Gallup. Packet information call 722-2220
