Begay, Willie
PINON Graveside services for Willie E.
Begay, 46, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 4, at the family land,
Piñon. The Rev. Nathaniel Noble will officiate. Burial
will be in family land.
Begay died July 30, 2008, in Phoenix. He was
born Dec. 28, 1961, in Keams Canyon, into the Tangle People Clan
for the Coyote Pass People Clan.
Begay graduated from Tucson Deaf and Mute School
in 1980. He was employed by Chee Southwest store where he enjoyed
assisting customers. His hobbies included drama and action movies.
Begay adored his nieces. He was considerate and passionate person.
Survivors include his father, Eugene Begay;
brothers, Peter Begay, Harry E. Begay; sisters, Rita Luther, Alice
Nez, Shirley Charley, Irene Kaye.
Begay was preceded in death by his mother, Lou
Yazzie Begay; brothers, Tully Begay, Francis Begay.
Pallbearers will be family members.
The family will receive relatives and friends
at Eugene Begays House, 9 miles S.W. of Pinon, following
services. The family will meet 7 p.m., up to Sunday Night.
Tse Bonito Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
De La Torre, Dionicio
GALLUP Services are pending for Dionicio
F. De La Torre, 92.
De La Torre died Thursday, July 31, 2008, in
Gallup. He was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Gallup.
A rosary will be recited Monday, Aug. 4, 7 p.m.,
at Rollie Mortuary.
Touchine, Matthew
SUNDANCE Services for Matthew Maurice
Touchine, 16, will be 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 4, at the Rehoboth
Christian Reform Church. Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery.
Touchine died July 30, 2008, in Sundance. He
was born June 1, 1992, in Gallup, into the Meadow People Clan
for the Zuni People Clan.
Touchine attended Miyamura High School. He enjoyed
running, drinking Monster energy drinks, skating, spending time
with his mom. He loved texting and hanging out with friends and
family. His favorite colors were purple and green.
Survivors include his parents, Richard Touchine,
Jeanette Dempsey Touchine of Sundace; brother, Irwin Touchine
of Sundance; sister, Lanette Touchine-Newman of Sundance; grandparents,
Marie Dempsey of Sundance, Donna Chee of Sundance.
Touchine was preceded in death by his grandfather,
Cecil Dempsey.
Pallbearers will be Garrett Marrowbone, Irwin
Touchine, Brian Chee, Emerson Chee, Myron Newman, and Aaron Leslie.
