Mine Office Tour

GALLUP — The Gallup Historical Society mine museum, 1410 Elva Drive, will be open for tours 1-3 p.m., Aug. 17. The museum is in the former Southwestern Coal Company mine office and is an exhibit of items related to the mining history of Gallup. Info call 722-9420.

SAN JUAN COUNTY — San Juan College in Aztec and in Kirtland advisement for students enrolling fall 2008 semester will be 4-6 p.m., Aug. 14. Appointments required. Fall classes start Aug. 25. Students can get assistance registering, scheduling courses, evaluate course credits, receive info on transferring to other institutions and more.
