2 bodies discovered in Gallup Copyright © 2008 GALLUP Police found two dead bodies between
Thursday night and Friday morning. The first was found behind Earls Restaurant
around 10:30 Thursday night, and was identified as the remains of
Patrick Peterson Shorty, of Thoreau. Shorty was 38 years old. Police
said he appeared to have been sitting on the curb when he died and
that foul play is not suspected. The second body surfaced around 11:30 a.m. Friday inside a room at the Colonial Inn near the West Y. The remains of Marcella Martinez were found by a friend after Martinez failed to show up to church Wednesday. Martinez was 50 years old. |
