SMITH LAKE — Funeral services for Eddie Hill Sr., 62, were 10 a.m., today, Aug. 19, at Rollie Mortuary. Bobby Willie officiated. Burial was in Gallup City Cemetery.
Hill died Aug. 12, 2009, in Gallup. He was born May 5, 1947, in Crownpoint, into the Two Who Came to the Water People Clan for the Towering House People Clan.
Hill was self employed as a silversmith. His hobbies included watching wrestling, planting, shepherding, working on vehicles, plowing with tractor, hauling wood and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved the Dallas Cowboys.
Survivors include his wife, Emma Jean Hill; son, Eddie Hill Jr.; mother, Grace S. Hill; brothers, Raymond Hill, Les Hill; sisters, Elise Pino, Ida Galvan, Rena Tom, Larend Robertson, Lavern Acharia, Christine Pierce, Cindy Hill, Marlene Felipe; grandparents, Willie and Annie Saunders, Charley Hill; three grandchildren.
Hill was preceded in death by his father, Mark Hill; brothers, Henry Hill, Leroy Hill.
Pallbearers were Lorenzo Hill, Les Hill, Alex Long, Raymond Hill, Monty Robertson, and Kevin Long.
The family received relatives and friends at Smith Lake Chapter, 2 p.m., following services.
