YATAHEY — Police have identified the victims of a fatal accident Friday at the junction of U.S. Highway 491 and N.M. Highway 264.

Nicole “Nikki” Smith, 18, of Navajo, N.M., was pronounced dead at the scene Thursday; Valaunia “Erin” Curley, 20, of Fort Defiance, died hours later at Gallup Indian Medical Center.
